The St. Louis Story

When Mission America Coalition's annual City Impact Roundtable (CIR) rotated to St. Louis in April 2005, a number of cities were asking to give a bit of a Christian history that would bring the gathered leaders up to date, to help understand how things stand in their city-reaching efforts today.

Here are the MAC notes from the various spokemen from St. Louis.

Here are the overall agenda/notes from this great conference, including 'stories' from other cities.

[Also visit the City Reaching Blog for April '05, which blogged live the conference.]

[Next year's City Impact Roundtable (CIR) will be held April 3-5, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It's an outstanding opportunity to hook up with other city-reachers from across the country.]

Brokeback Mountain , a vulgar and violent movie about two homosexual cowboys, which is running on limited screens in liberal cities, won the most Golden Globe nominations Tuesday – seven, including best drama. Last year’s Million Dollar Baby – which glorified a man “helping” a paralyzed woman to commit suicide – won big at the Academy Awards after first winning big at the Golden Globe Awards. It seems that if something is morally wrong, Hollywood usually says that it's right! Read the review by Movieguide.org .

CCDA heads to St. Louis in 2007

We've recently learned that the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) will be hosting their 2007 annual conference in St. Louis. As part of the CCDA Indy 2005 conference recently concluded, I commend it to you highly, and wish all of you well as you pray and plan toward it in the future.

Blessings from Indy,
